In today’s traffic, high demands are placed on motor and rider. Matters such as safety and reliability are therefore not self-evident and often of vital importance. Because as a prospective buyer you do not always have the technical knowledge to properly assess an engine, but you want extra certainty about the engine, it may be wise to have a purchase inspection carried out. There are a lot of things to look out for when buying a new motorcycle. After all, the point is that you can safely use it on the road and that you enjoy the bicycle for as long as possible.

    Take off your pink glasses

One of the most important tips when buying a new motorcycle is to take off your pink glasses. Maybe you have already seen the thing on the internet, you already see yourself riding it and you are actually as good as sold. A trader sees that from the moment you enter the store. The sales pitch actually sounds good to you right away and the lesser points quickly muffle away in your mind. So bring someone who can view it purely factually and who has no connection to the bike at all. There is someone who can put you on the ground with both feet. For the moto BMW usagé this is important.

    Not the lowest price

When googling you will see that there are certain traders who always have the motorcycle for sale at the lowest price. There is often a reason they can do that. Sometimes the engine has suffered damage or the mileage is too good to be true. There is a reason that a margin is still achieved on these types of engines. That means that they have been purchased very cheaply. In that case, cheap is often expensive. Rather go for the mid-range in terms of price.

Take a look in the kitchen

If the workplace of the company you are going to look at is very chaotic and untidy, it often says something about the way of working. The same applies to a purchase from a private individual. If the house is a mess and things are carelessly handled, why would it be any different with the engine? So take a look behind the scenes.

Do not sign a contract for a test drive

Always take a test drive and preferably the same type of engine at different companies so you get a bit of a sense of what the thing should and shouldn’t do. However, there are companies that ask you to sign a contract during a test drive. So don’t. It should go without saying that you take a test drive. If they ask for a contract to be signed, something is already wrong.

    Have a purchase inspection

Well, it is recommended that everyone to have a purchase inspection done. An independent judge has no affiliation with the motorcycle and it is of no benefit if the bicycle is approved or not. Professionally, he looks at all points much more accurately than a private individual. An inspector can properly estimate which maintenance costs may be arriving soon, he can check the frame number and year of construction and the engine is thoroughly checked. This way you make the chance very small that you buy a cat in the bag.
