Bigger and Better Solar Roofs from Tesla

Tesla (NASDAQ: TSLA) has also begun installing solar roofs at traditional roofing companies to increase installation capacity. This improves Tesla’s ability to increase the number of solar roof installations and avoids the difficult situations that can arise from maintaining a monopoly on installations. The appearance of the Tesla solar roof remains the same, regardless of whether the individual bricks contain photovoltaic cells. The number of roof panels that contain photovoltaic cells in a Tesla solar roof can be adjusted according to customer requirements up to the maximum capacity of the roof depending on the size, shape, slope, etc.

This is a major change of direction for Tesla’s dedicated installation team, which provides Tesla with much faster extensions, but the risk of potential quality problems becomes very clear. In a conversation, Elon said that outsourcing the installation of roofing products has already become a normal phenomenon for the entire coverage business, including the transfer of the warranty. The Tesla solar roof is certainly more complex than traditional roofs and traditional solar kits, but it is not so abstract that the concept cannot be extended. There was a problem with the sunroof project itself. Originally slated to launch in 2017, Tesla has delayed the launch due to design issues. Production finally began in 2018 at Giga Factory’s second factory, the renovated Solar City factory in Buffalo, NY. However, the adoption of sunroofs was very limited as Tesla worked on what Musk called “version 3”. However, the main problem is Walmart filed a lawsuit against Tesla in August after some retailers were hit by a fire allegedly caused by solar panels at Tesla and Solar City.

Buying a Tesla solar roof is very similar to the traditional solar roof installation process. As a new project, Tesla analyzed approved plans to map the complexity of the roof. It makes sense to install a photovoltaic tile instead of glass, etc. This is a unique variable not found in traditional solar cells. One of the biggest problems homeowners face with solar panels is their appearance. In response, Tesla CEO Elon Musk announced a new Tesla Energy product in 2016, the Tesla solar roof.

What’s more in the Version 3 of the Sunroof

Since the launch of version 3 of the sunroof in October 2019, Tesla has continued to increase the production of sunroofs. Tesla CEO Elon Musk has demonstrated his recently acquired financial prowess by evading his commitment to strong goals and solar roof manufacturing programs. Overall, he shared that Tesla is looking to hit 1,000 installations per week as soon as possible. Like everything Tesla does, this is just the beginning.
